The 2016 Chevy Camaro New Lighter and i just share the lighter. GM hasn’t shared any details about what to expect when the car is finally unveiled. 2016 Chevy Camaro have little bits here and there based on spy shots, but nothing confirmed. Based on those spy shots, it’s possible to at least make a few guesses about how it might look.
These renderings from Top Speed show what those spy shots might turn into once all that crazy camo is removed. It’s not going to be a complete redesign, but more of a natural evolution from where the car is today to where it’s going to be in the future.
The next generation Camaro is set to ride on GM’s Alpha platform, the same one that underpins the Cadillac ATS. That platform weighs in at 3,400 pounds, while the current generation Z/28 being extensively lightened for track duty, still weighs in at 3,800 pounds. That’s a 400 pound increase from the larger four-door.
